Trippie Redd - NDA

Trippie Redd - NDA

Three years is a long time to leave a major statement simmering, and NDA arrives sounding like Trippie Redd has plenty to say. His sixth full-length is a 25-track, 68-minute tour through modern rap, but its biggest strength is not simply its size—it is Trippie Redd’s ability to keep his personality visible while moving between distorted rage, melodic vulnerability, flex-heavy records and smoother R&B. There is a restless energy here, like an artist emptying notebooks at once.

The features are fun. Young Thug, PARTYNEXTDOOR, BigXThaPlug, Lil Wayne, Rob49 and Sexyy Red bring different textures, while Trippie rarely disappears inside the guest list. “Say What” shows his softer side; “Meet the Redds” brings the turn-up; “Paperbag Boy” leans into warped, colorful production.

The opportunity is obvious: Trippie remains versatile enough to serve multiple audiences without losing his identity. The challenge is editing. At 25 tracks, the album occasionally feels like a playlist when a tighter sequence could have delivered a stronger arc.

Critique:

A leaner tracklist could make the best material hit harder.

Takeaways:

  • Versatility remains Trippie’s superpower.
  • Features expand rather than erase his identity.
  • The album has replayable moments.
