Vory - Dondada

Vory has always sounded most interesting when he lets contradiction become part of the music. DONDADA embraces that contradiction completely. The 10-song, 28-minute project moves between R&B, soul and rap without apologizing for the transitions. There is vulnerability here, but Vory doesn't stay vulnerable for long. “TALK TO YOU” and “SOBER” lean toward the introspective side, while tracks like “SIAMESE” and “RUBI ROSE” push into harder trap territory. That contrast gives DONDADA personality.

We appreciate that Vory isn't trying to separate his rapper identity from his singer identity. Those two sides actually make more sense together. His voice has enough character to carry emotional records, while his rap delivery gives the harder songs an edge. The project also benefits from being concise. Twenty-eight minutes is enough time to establish a mood without requiring the listener to live inside it for an hour.

Vory can push further is narrative cohesion. The individual records have personality, but the next evolution would be making the entire project feel like one undeniable story.
